Starting to Face your Grief

It is not healrhy to lock your grief away and completely avoid it.
What happened,happened and needs to be faced.
Avoiding your grief will still be there years down the line and will most likely manifest as depression,anxiey,stress and physical ailments.
So in the safe space which is counselling you can,

Give what happened a voice.Hearing your voice speaking about what happened is extremely powerful.Helps you to start to make sense of what happened.
It did happen and helps you to come out of denial and face your grief.Your emotions in connection with your loss need to be felt and processed.Grief if not acknowledged will later down the line become what's known as interrupted/complex grief.
